With extended visits, same/next-day access, transparent pricing, and direct communication, our patients get the time and attention needed to truly improve their health.
Montrose Direct Primary Care serves adults 18+ who want a long-term partner in their wellness, whether they need help managing chronic conditions, optimizing hormones, improving metabolic health, or simply accessing dependable primary care without barriers.

Andrew Beard is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on preventive health, metabolic health, obesity medicine, hormone optimization, and long-term wellness. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with practical, sustainable lifestyle strategies tailored to each patient’s goals, ensuring a personalized care experience.
Originally from San Diego, Andrew began his medical career in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantryman, where he received advanced combat lifesaver training. After his service, he worked in Level 1 trauma at UC San Diego Medical Center and later moved to Montrose in 2015, where he served in emergency medicine, case management, and primary care roles while completing both his BSN and MSN.
For the past six years, Andrew has practiced internal medicine in Montrose, caring for a large and diverse panel of adults. His internal medicine work includes extensive experience managing chronic disease, complex multi-system conditions, cardiovascular risk, metabolic disorders, and preventive health for high-acuity patients. This background gives him a depth of clinical insight that directly informs his approach to comprehensive, relationship-based primary care.
Andrew’s experience within traditional insurance-based primary care helped shape his commitment to the Direct Primary Care model. After years of navigating high patient volumes, administrative demands, and limited visit times, he recognized how challenging it was for patients to receive the access and prevention-focused support they truly needed. DPC allows Andrew to offer the kind of personalized care patients have been asking for—unhurried appointments, same or next-day access, transparent pricing, and a long-term partnership centered around metabolic health, prevention, and overall wellness. This model empowers him to practice medicine the way it should be practiced: focused on the patient, not the system.
He holds a Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine and is certified by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners to perform DOT physicals. Andrew has helped thousands of patients improve their metabolic health, reduce cardiovascular risk, manage weight, and optimize hormones through personalized medical care.
Known for his calm, straightforward communication style, Andrew’s care is centered on partnership—empowering patients to understand their health, make informed decisions, and build long-term wellness through practical habits.
Outside the clinic, Andrew enjoys strength training, exploring the outdoors, attending church, and spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their two children.
